An old stone bridge and a new camera...

Stone bridgeDuring a recent trip, my Pentax Optio camera disappeared. There is still a chance we may locate it somewhere in my home...but I've been going nuts because unlike my Canon Rebel, the Optio was small enough to keep with me regularly -- and I keep not having a camera handy when I want it...

Well, as a bit of a combined birthday/Father's Day gift, I now have a Casio Exilim EX-Z50. So far I'm pretty impressed...the picture you see if you click on the thumbnail was taken on my way home from getting it...

Boiling in Antrim...

Although we may be getting a break from it come Wednesday, the last week has warranted the installation of three air conditioners here at the Fahrners. It's still "early" hear and it's already 72.1...with a high of 86 predicted...

I know, I know...plenty of you can beat that temperature...but trust me, if you lived in a region where most houses are built without central air, you wouldn't be comfortable in these hot, muggy conditions either :-)

Moose sighting, up close...

This past Saturday night while still in Redlands, California I got a call from my wife saying she saw her first moose.

Well, actually she called to say she hit a moose. But, of course, that does mean she saw it :-)

(Just before the Washington line in Goshen, New Hampshire.)

She and the family were fine, and the moose walked away (but with a pretty bad leg). We have yet to find out the total extent of the damage to her minivan...but it's not too bad...
