After church today we visited friends who live on the Mount Missionary compound. This photo is a merge of several taken from the third floor of a mansion on the land. It's in the midst of significant repairs (due to years of neglect). It's served many purposes since it stopped being used as a residence.
Even though the different light levels in the pieces obscures the full beauty, you can see the awesome view available from the home.
If I caught it right, the reason the building is even in New Hampshire is because in the first half of the 1900s the owner was given an inheritance contingent on living in the house. He didn't want to live in Worcester, Massachusetts...so he had it moved to Harrisville.
I wouldn't want to live in Taxachusetts either :-)
