Michelle and I spent a day together to celebrate our anniversary early, catching a movie ("The Village") in Keene, New Hampshire.
After grabbing lunch and shopping at Staples we headed home. There is an antique shop on Route 9 in Antrim that we have meant to stop at many a time -- so we did. We left with the dresser pictured here. The original owner said they bought it in 1972 -- and the style (which I think is great) fits that period perfectly (although I would call it more of a 60's style).
Elm Avenue actually has quite a bit of traffic -- it connects Route 9 and Route 202, and it has quite a few houses (including a good amount of recent construction). Yesterday the shortcut between 9 and 202 was blocked as they put a new tube under the road for a creek (which actually runs through our land). While chatting with the workers, I found out that part of the flooding this year was due to someone partially damming the flow to help a duck pool on the other side of the road. They ended up getting a duck lake :-)
