The storm that already snowed on the mid-Atlantic hit us last night (and continues through tomorrow). I'm not sure how many inches we have already gotten, but we've shoveled the decks and snow blown the driveway twice.
Michelle chose a new minivan yesterday, but it took so long she had to wait until today to pick it up. That would have happened after church, but the weather made the trip to Keene (actually Swanzee) unwise (a significant portion of the trip is going "up").
Finally, we had a bit of a scare. We let the dogs out free the first time we attacked the snow, and Bear went down to the creek...then walked out on the creek...then fell through the slushy ice. As I ran to rescue him, for a moment I couldn't see him, and I was afraid he'd "gone under." Luckily he hadn't, but he was stuck and unable to do more than keep his head above water. I jumped in (water toward the top of my calves) and grabbed him...
So much for everything I was wearing to protect myself from the snow :-)
If you click on the pictures they will give you a larger version. The first is of a very happy Michelle with her minivan, the second of part of our woods (and creek), and the third where Bear fell through (much later, but you can still see light areas where he was trapped and I jumped in).
