I know, I know, I have been awful about blogging! Honest...I'll try harder!
Either way, I've been looking at possibly getting a Garmin iQue 3600, a combination of a PDA and a GPS unit. I've been checking out prices on the web...it's not a cheap toy (I really only "need" the PDA part to replace my Treo 300).
We actually have a really nice sporting goods shop in Antrim, so I figured if I do end up buying one, I might as well keep the the money local. I rang them up (and then visited them). Neither gentleman I spoke with know what a PDA or Personal Digital Assistant was.
Please don't take this a derogatory...neither had reason to ever use one (or interact with someone who actively used one)...but it is interesting how something I find so essential isn't even in their vocabulary...
And speaking of how things are different here than in the city...
We went to Peterborough for dinner, and as we just got out of our car a couple older ladies rolled down their windows to see if we were going to the movies -- so they could warn us it was sold out and save us from walking to the theater.
I love it here...
